Union County Soccer
League needs people willing to referee soccer games. If you are
interested, there will be several clinics offered throughout the year for
certification. Information will be posted on this site regarding these
clinics and you are also welcome to contact Doug Perry for more
information. Certification is not necessary to ref in our league.

May 3,4,10,17,18
If you are interested in reffing for UCSL, please email Blake with your availability for all dates listed
above. The more dates you are available to referee, the better your
chances of getting more games. You can send either all the dates you can
ref or all the dates you can't, whichever has the fewest number of
dates. If you are available for all the dates, just send an email saying
"Available all dates." Ref Training
Several certification clinics will be held
throughout the year. You may find info on these clinics by going to
www.ncsra.org . Any official clinics
will be listed at this website and more get listed all the time. Please
keep checking back to the site to find new classes being held in our
area. |

Rain Cancellations
Games can be cancelled
by the league anytime up until one hour before game time. If you have
not been called and there aren't any messages on the website indicating
games have been cancelled you are to report to your field. Upon
arriving at the field you must determine if the field is actually
playable. If you feel that due to weather conditions the field is not
playable you may cancel the game. You will not be penalized for closing
a field because of unsafe conditions. Remember: The children's safety
is our primary concern. In order to collect your money you must stay
at the field the entire length of the game time to collect money from
the coaches. This is due to the fact that the rain may stop or the
field may drain and become playable as time passes. If at the start of
the second game time the field is still not playable you may close the
field and go home. You can only be paid for the first game and you must
be present the entire time on the field to be paid. If there is
LIGHTNING, the game is suspended IMMEDIATELY and everyone
should seek shelter. Once a game is suspended due to lightning, 15
minutes must pass from the last site of lightning before play may
resume. Every time lightning is seen again, the 15 minutes starts over.
